Drosendorf an der Thaya
Description
Drosendorf is a small town on the Thaya, surrounded by forests and a varied river landscape, surrounded by medieval town walls and a rich history. Baroque facades and old town houses frame the main square. In the middle of the park stands St. Martin's Church and next to it the symbol of secular power - the pillory.
Small alleyways lead into the "Hintaus" of the town and shady paths lead into the old town on the Thaya, where former summer residences are surrounded by large orchards.
Drosendorf has all the ingredients you need for dreaming, lots of nature and a little bit of town, a castle and a river, sunny meadows and shady avenues, flowering gardens and rugged rocks. But also inns with beautiful terraces, dignified accommodation and lots of ideas for the future.
