Reblaus Express

Climb aboard and relax.

Sat, Sun & public holidays from 1st May to 28 October 2018

You travel along the sun-drenched Retz vineyards and then you wind gently up into the Waldviertel. Along a route of 40 km the Reblaus Express links the vine-covered hills of the Weinviertel, or wine quarter, with the tranquil forests and ponds of the Waldviertel, or forest quarter. Sometimes far from roads and settlements, the route leads through extensive forest and tiny meadows, over hills and through flood plains. Ten railway stations along this route invite you to spend a little time and to set off on foot or by bicycle.

The train comprises nostalgic dark green two-axle carriages, pulled by a diesel locomotive. The quaint restaurant car, or Heurigenwaggon, offers a special experience. In a sociable atmosphere you are spoiled with refreshing drinks, wines from the region and home-made snacks.

A further special feature is the cycle car, which allows cycle transport, free of charge. All this makes a journey on the Reblaus Express an unforgettable experience.
